A Timid Turtle

I saw about 15 deer at my apt. complex yesterday and was trying to sneak up on 'em for a photo op- but of course they dashed away before I could take a good shot. Then, as I turned to walk back to my place I almost stepped on this little turtle- standing right in the middle of the sidewalk. It was the oddest thing because I've never seen deer or turtles hanging out in the neighborhood- we are somewhat close to James River Park- but those creatures would have had to cross some VERY busy roads to get to my street... Where were they going? (I hope there's not something bad coming our way- other animals sense these things early) Okay, now I'm rambling- sorry about that... Light cropping & I increased the color saturation a bit.
